A Tailored Education for Each Child

Founded in 1975 by Kathlyn Taylor the Hamilton School is Scotland’s only privately owned independent day school. Located on Queen’s Road in Aberdeen’s west end the Hamilton School provides an enviable standard of care and education to pupils from three months to twelve years.

Our Primary School is accommodated in two beautifully restored elegant Victorian villas, while our Early Years Department is housed in a stunning three-storey custom designed building with windows out onto the world.

Our early curriculum is based upon the highly influential Montessori Philosophy, which values the growth of skill and independence in each individual, socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
